Visas |
Unless you are a GCC national you will need a visa to visit. Most nationalities are issued with a free visit visa upon entering Dubai. However, some nationalities will need to have a visa in place before they arrive so it's worth making enquiries before you go.
A visit visa will allow you to stay in Dubai for 60 days although you can extend this for a further 30 days by going to the Department of Immigration and paying Dhs 500. You can also leave the country and re-enter on a new visit visa.
If you intend to work in Dubai, open a bank account and lease accommodation you will need to have a residency visa. Often the best way to acquire one is through sponsorship from the company employing you.
Types of Visa and Cost
Visitor and Business: £20.
Price given is for UK nationals but price is dependent on nationality.
Multiple-entry visas are only issued in very special circumstances. In case of visa being arranged by a sponsor, the request for multiple-entry should be marked clearly.
