Tour of Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi is the federal capital of the United Arab Emirates and the largest city of the emirate of Abu Dhabi. It is one of the most modern cities in the world and the center of government in the UAE.
The core of Abu Dhabi is a wedge-shaped island connected to the mainland by the Maqta and Musaffah bridges. The wide end of the wedge forms the city center, with the Corniche running along the coast and an road variously known as Airport Road or Sheikh Rasheed bin Saeed al Maktoum Street running lengthwise out to the bridges.
The tour starts in Dubai where you will travel past the man-made port Jebel Ali and onwards for a two-hour drive through coastal desert scenery, studded with acacia trees to Abu Dhabi.
Once you reach the city you will notice striking examples of modern architecture show intriguing interpretations of Islam themes rendered out of modern construction material. Weaving our way trough shimmering sky-scrapers, we visit the largest carpet market within the region. Villas and palaces line our route along the Riviera-style cornice with its blur gulf waters and enticing offshore island also known as break waters.
