Dubai has the unique distinction of being the only golfing venture in the world to host major international tournaments on both the European and Asian PGA circuits.
Visiting golfers can choose from various clubs and courses, each of championship quality and presenting a different type of challenge.
The governments organisation "Dubai Golf" are co-ordinating Dubai's golf tourism to promote the facilities offered by each of the clubs. Be it an advanced golf championship golf course, or a cool environment for beginners, there is something for everyone.
The UAE has 9 championship golf courses with 7 of those being in Dubai itself. They host some of the world's most prestigious golf competitors and welcome amongst others, Tiger Woods, who has his first golf course in development in Dubailand - Dubai's largest tourism and leisure complex. Most of these golf courses have academy 9 hole courses too, so visitors can enjoy challenging and varied golf whatever their level.
From September to May, the UAE enjoys unlimited sunshine and warm, sun-kissed golf courses. Which means, while you game improves, your family have a whole host of outdoor activities they can enjoy.
