Sharjah is the third largest of the seven states which form the United Arab Emirates.
The settlement of Sharjah dates back some 6,000 years when it is believed to have been called Sarcoa. The population was small and people relied on trade and sea faring in addition to, farming, hunting, fishing and pearling. Many of the early settlements were based around the 'falaj', a man made underground water course.

Sharjah offers an impressive array of over twenty museums several art galleries and beautifully restored heritage areas.
Sharjah lies only 15 minutes from Dubai so most of this four our tour is spent in the city. You will start at the cultural square then travel to Ajman's enchanting Museum - housed in an ancient fort where we get intriguing insights into the traditional lifestyle before changes brought by the discovery of oil. Moving on from Majahrah Souq with its intricate mosaics and golden dome and the 150 years old Al Naboodah House we pass by majestic King Faisal Mosque , the Pearl Monument , Symbol of the UAE Federation , the fabulous Blur souq , where more than 600 shops sell carpet , gold , silver, antiques , perfumes ,clothes and many other goods.
