Set amidst 38 acres of landscaped gardens, this modern, low-rise city hotel is two kilometres from Dubai International Airport and the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club.
Several areas of this hotel will be subject to renovation work between January and December 2007. All guestrooms will be refurbished, whilst the exterior and adjacent entertainment centre will also be renovated. The hotel only anticipates minor noise disturbance to guests, and all work will be carried out between 9 AM amd 6 PM, Saturday to Thursday. The lobby of Le Meridien Dubai is elaborately decorated in gold and bamboo. Business guests and leisure travellers mingle and relax on white sofas arranged around plants and mirrors. A black grand piano stands opposite the reception area, which leads to the lobby bar and café.
The spa and wellness centre occupies the ground floor of the hotel and offers aromatherapy saunas, massages, detoxifying treatments, an exercise room with treadmills, bikes and weights, and a ladies hair and nail salon. There are two outdoor swimming pools with swim-up bars in the landscaped gardens, as well as racquet sports courts.
Rooms
Le Meridien Dubai features 383 air-conditioned guestrooms and suites spread over two floors. All feature modern decor in rich colours and fabrics, with sleek wood furnishings. Marble bathrooms are decorated in black and white with mosaic tiling with shower/tub combinations, marble counters, designer toiletries, bathrobes, and hair dryers. Amenities include cable television, wireless Internet (surcharge), minibars and tea and coffee-making facilities. Fresh fruit bowls are provided upon arrival.
Royal Club rooms include Royal Club lounge access. Art & Tech rooms include plasma-screen televisions and espresso machines. Superior Deluxe rooms include complimentary wireless Internet and complimentary tea and coffee.
Dining
Yalumba - Modern restaurant serving international dishes and specialising in Australian specialities, fresh juices and smoothies. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also offers a weekend brunch.
Seafood Market - Large wood-decked restaurant with freshwater fish tanks lining one wall. Open for lunch and dinner. Small private function area for 10 people available on request.
Gourmandises - Small café located within the lobby area. Serves snacks, pastries, cakes, coffee and tea. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Sukhothai - Authentic South Asian dishes served in tranquil wood and green Thai-inspired surroundings. Open for lunch and dinner.
