Weather in Dubai |
Obviously, Dubai's desert location dictates the weather, meaning low rainfall and year round sunshine. Dubai basically guarantees year round sunshine - something most holiday destinations cannot - and has no rainy season.
There are however some seasonal variations with the year being divided into four loose phases.
January to March
This period of the year is considered to be the most comfortable in terms of the weather with temperatures ranging from a minimum of around 15 degrees centigrade up to a maximum of around 30. Sunshine clocks in at about 8 hours a day with relative humidity at around 6.5. What little rain there is is more likely to occur during late February and early March.
April to June
This period of the year sees the temperature start to rise with averages between 35 and 45 degrees centigrade. Humidity however, tends to be slightly lower than the previous quarter ranging between 5 to 5.5. The sun shines for 11 hours everyday and there is little or no rainfall.
July to September
Temperatures soar at this time of year with the thermometer often hitting the high 40's and beyond. Humidity thankfully stays about the same as the previous months and the sun shines for 10 to 10.5 hours a day.
October to December
After the intense and uncomfortable heat of the summer, this time of the year is really pleasant for the inhabitants of Dubai. Temperatures lie between 20 and 35 degrees centigrade and the humidity is slightly up on the rest of the year at around 6 to 6.5. There is some moderate rainfall but this is often welcome to clear the heat of the summer months.
